MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – A seventh inning rally would be the difference maker in boosting Eckerd over Barry in softball action on Sunday afternoon from Buccaneer Field. The Bucs did win the series with the double-header sweep on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- B4 | Sarah Langlie had the infield single to get the inning going. A sacrifice bunt from Chandler Barry put Langlie into sciring position. sofia Chamorro then liften a line drive over the center fielder's head to triple and bring in a run, while giving Barry tthe first lead. | Barry 1, Eckerd 0
- T5 | The lead was quickly erased in the next inning. Three straight singles and the aid of a fielding error scored the tritons first run. a failed squeeze play and snag at third base kept the damage to a minimum. | Eckerd 1, Barry 1
- T7 | In what was a batle the whole way through, turned into a different game in the top of the seventh. Eckerd scored five runs off five hits. A three run home run was the major at bat of the inning that changed the tide. | Eckerd 6, Barry 1
NOTEWORTHY:
- Barry was out hit 13-4 in the game. Eckerd left eight to the Bucs seven runners on the base path.
- The Bucs fall to to 21-3 when scoring first.
- The Buccaneers struck out 11 times, to the Tritons three.
- Langlie and Chamorro have hit streaks staying in tact with seven and five respectfully.
ON THE HORIZON
Barry will go back on the road and remain in SSC action against Lynn next weekend. The series begins on Friday, March 28.
