HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Saint grabbed the early lead by winning the #1 doubles match as #22-ranked Simon Malis and Ilian Borlee defeated Leo Caill and Simone Cavalleri.
- Barry to win the second and third flights to earn the doubles point.
- At the second flight, 26th-ranked Gabriele Felline and Tim Reidel dispatched Makary Adamek and Filip Kana 6-3.
- At the third flight, Riccardo Trione and Yan Koejoed clinched the point with a 6-4 win over Baptiste Mercier and Aly El Rafie.
- Ariel Meshulam swept El Rafie in Court #6, winning a close first set 6-4, then powering through to deliver victory for the Bucs in a tiebreaker 7-6(2) in the second set.
- #21 Kodjoed handled his match against Flagler's #31-ranked player Mercier, sweeping both sets 7-6(5), 6-3 in court #2.
- Thomas Machado fell in his match against Kana on Court #5, he was swept after a tough 7-6(5) set, before losing the next set 6-4.
- The Saints pulled to within one point at #69 Simon Malis rallied from a first-set loss to Felline to win 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.
- At the fourth singles, Adam Lynch fought through a tough match against Adamek to clinch the match for the Bucs, winning narrowly 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
- Singles #3 was left unfinished after Lynch clinched.
