MIAMI SHORES, Fla. For the second straight game, Barry softball ends the game early in run-rule fashion scoring 10 runs on their opponents. INSIDE THE MATCHUP

Final (5 inn.): Barry 10, Fla. Southern 2
Records: Barry (14-5, 6-1 SSC), Fla. Southern (7-10, 1-6 SSC)
All-Time Series: FSC leads 71-70

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • B1 | The Buccaneers took the first lead that would hold through the rest of the game. Harper Bunn and Sarah Langlie reached via a walk. Caroline Figueroa hit her SSC-leading ninth double of the year and drove in Bunn. Mac Stone-Folmar had a sacrifice fly to bring home Langlie, who tagged up and made it a 2-0 game. | Barry 2, FSC 0
  • B3 | Bunn once again reached via a walk to start to the bottom of the third. Brooklyn Rushton singled down the left field line to load the bases with just one away. Stone-Folmar picked up her second RBI of the game with a ground ball to the first baseman. A passed ball then brought in the fourth run. | Barry 4, FSC 0
  • B4 | The Bucs continued to tack on runs extending their lead with a big fourth inning. An error led to the first base runner of the inning. Becka Mellor then doubled down the right field line to have two in scoring position. After the Mocs had a pitching change, the flood gates opened. Mya Tucker immediately drew a six-pitch walk. Bunn then delivered a double to score two. A fielder's choice led to another run to cross the plate. Barry scored four runs off two hits. | Barry 8, FSC 0
  • T5 | Florida Southern finally got on the board in the top of the fifth. An error, infield single, and passed ball put two runners in scoring position with two-outs. A timely single then delivered both runs in to extend the game another half inning and keep the Mocs hopes alive. | Barry 8, FSC 2
  • B5 | Sofia Chamorro drew a leadoff walk after falling behind 1-2 in the count. White then took the first pitch she saw over the fence for the two-run, walk-off home run and end this one early. | Barry 10, FSC 2
