MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Barry Beach Volleyball earns their first official victory in program history taking down St. Thomas to open the 2025 season. The historic Thursday afternoon matchup took place at the Miniaci Courts on the campus of STU.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- St. Thomas took a 1-0 lead taking court four over Hansen and Talcott first in the match.
- Barry then surged to win three straight courts to clinch the win.
- Marina Azevedo and Ellie Madrigal earned the first win going three sets.
- Danielle Hansen and Mia Azevedo then swept court five for the 2-1 lead.
- Ana Perez and Fiona Baker secured the win on court one in a dominant fashion.
- Rangel and Saunders fell on court three with three sets forcing deuce in the last one.
- Barry's Turner and Marquez took the exhibition match on court six in straight sets.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs will continue their opening week with a trip to Lakeland to play in a tri-match featuring Florida Southern and State College of Florida.
