TAMPA, Fla. -- The first-ranked Barry Buccaneers bounced back from their first loss of the season with a strong victory against Sunshine State Conference rivals Tampa, winning 6-1 against the #20-ranked Spartans in women's tennis action at the Naimoli-Young Tennis Complex on Sunday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Buccaneers got back to business, sweeping Tampa in the doubles matches for double point.
- Top-ranked Alina Michalitsch and #28 Viktoriia Dema won their matches in straight set sweeps, with Michalitsch winning her match 6-1, 6-2 while Dema would only surrendered one game in a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
- Dinara Alloiarova started hot with a 6-0 victory, she would end the match and achieve victory 6-3 to end the game.
- Angela Leweurs, ranked #19, was able to win handily in a straight set sweep with a final score of 6-2 in both sets.
- Tenth-ranked Andrea Di Palma had a close match, splitting sets with Tampa's Nicole Casas. Di Palma took the first set 6-2, before dropping the second set 6-3. In the super tie-breaker, with the match already decided, Casas came out ahead 10-8.
- Louane Lutringer battled hard against Tampa, winning her match 6-2 and 6-4 for a straight set sweep and clinching the win for Barry.
