MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers fell 68-53 to the Nova Southeastern Sharks in Sunshine State Conference women's basketball action in the Health & Sports Center on Saturday.

- 1Q - Both the Buccaneers and Sharks got out to hot starts on the offensive end. Each team shot 50 percent from the field with the Sharks knocking down four three-pointers. Five different Buccaneers scored in the first. Audrey Jennings registered seven points, while Kayla Lindsey and Aijah Palmore each scored four. - 2Q - The Sharks came out red-hot to start the second, beginning the period on a 8-0 run. The Buccaneers scored their first points with 5:37 remaining when Lindsey knocked down a shot. However, the Sharks went on a 9-1 run to extend their lead to 14. Jennings helped keep the game within reach, scoring four more points to bring her first-half total to 11 to lead all players. However, the Sharks' 53.3% first-half shooting was too much for the Buccaneers to overcome, as they went into the break down 12. | Nova Southeastern 39, Barry 27
- 3Q - Palmore got the scoring started in the third to cut the lead to 10. But the Sharks answered with a 5-0 run to take a 15-point lead. The Sharks would extend their lead to 19 with 5:35 remaining, forcing a timeout from the Buccaneers. After the timeout, the Buccaneers went on a massive 11-0 run to cut the lead to eight. NOTEWORTHY:
- Jennings led the Buccaneers with 15 points. Six of her 15 came from the free throw line.
- Morales scored 13 for the Bucs. She also finished with two assists and two steals.
- Alana Ellis led the Sharks with 13 points. Her teammate Payton Graber finished with 12.
- Palmore led the Buccaneers with 11 rebounds. Five of them came on the offensive glass.
- The Buccaneers recorded 10 steals, while the Sharks ended with just four. Lindsey led all players with three thefts.
