ORLANDO, FLA- Barry University women's swimmer Sofia Ristancev earned her first career Sunshine State Conference weekly honor. The freshman brought home the honor presented by Pollo Campreo for the week of Nov. 10 - Nov. 16 for her impressive performance at the Indian River Invite, where she broke multiple program record times.

Ristancev delivered an outstanding performance over the multiple events she participated in at the Indian River Invite from Nov.14 - Nov.15. She placed second in the women's 100 back with a time of 59.12, the second fastest time in program history. She also participated in the women's 200 back, where she set a new program record with a time of 2:05.18 while also placing second in the event. The freshman also contributed to two record-setting relay times with Ava McCarthy, Jenna Beck, and Ethena Conzemius to record a top-five school record time of 4:13.05 in the women's 400 medley relay and set the third fastest time in school history for the women's 200 medley relay at 1:54.86. 

The Bucs will conclude the fall season at the NSU Shark Invite on Thursday, Dec.18 in Davie, Fla.
