WINTER PARK, Fla. — The fourth-ranked Barry Women's Volleyball team battled it out for their 10th win of the season and remain undefeated. After dropping the first set, the Buccaneers took a four-set victory over Rollins in Warden Arena on Friday evening, coming back to win the next three sets. This is this the first time Barry defeats the Tars on the road since 2022 and marks the third time in program history the tem starts off the season undefeated in double-digits (2018, 2022).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - It was a back and fourth battle that saw Barry lead by as much as four. Rollins, however, did not back down and had a 6-1 run to flip the script and give themselves a three point advantage. It held throughout the end and the Tars took a set lead. Barry had their worst offensive set hitting .152 on 11 kills and six attacking errors. | Rollins 25, Barry 22
- Set Two - The offense turned around and then had their best set hitting .414 with 14 kills and just two attacking errors. Rollins held a two point lead at 21-19 in the set, but that did not stop the Buccaneers from believing they could win the set aas they went ona 6-0 run to close it out holding the Tars to 21. Varvara Osyckeno had a huge set seven kills, three of which came in that final run. Valeriya Kozlova added three service aces to close it out. | Barry 25, Rollins 21
- Set Three - In another set that went back and forth, Barry trailed deep into the set at 15-17. A 6-0 turned the scoreboard around for good in the set as Thalia Iglesias dumped a kill, Ester Pushkarov got a block and a couple Tar errors added into the mix. Kozlova closed out the set with a block solo to give Barry the 2-1 set lead. | Barry 25, Rollins 23
- Set Four - From the start it looked like the match was going to a fifth set as Rollins opened with a 4-0 lead. The battle tested Bucs would not back down and slowly started to chip away. An 8-0 run switched up the momentum and put Barry in favor of winning the set. McKayla Theleus came in and mad her mark holding service for the run and adding in a coupe of kills. It was all Barry for the rest of the set as Ivana Zujovic called game with a monster kills straight down the middle of the court that bounced off a Tar and went out of bounce. | Barry 25, Rollins 20
NOTEWORTHY:
- Valeriya Kozlova led the team with 22 kills, seven digs and three service aces.
- Varvara Osychenko had a season-high 15 kills, hitting .371 with just two attacking errors, while adding eight digs.
- Alondra Lebron had a career-high 13 digs to lead the back row.
- Petra Brkicic led the setters with 22 assists, while Thalia Iglesias was right behind with 18.
- Ivana Žujovic had a career-high four block solos in the match.
- The defense had their fifth double-digit blocks match.
- Statistically, the Bucs led in kills, blocks, and digs in the match.
