MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — It was a special afternoon in the Health and Sports Center as Buccaneer Women's Volleyball Head Coach, Leonid Yelin, earned his 700th career victory. The win came over Embry-Riddle via a sweep as Barry picks up their 13th win on the year. Yelin began his coaching career as a Buccaneer back in 1991, he picked up his first win in his very first match on September 18 against Florida Atlantic. Since then, Yelin has gone on to win 190 games at Barry, 366 at Louisville, and 144 at Syracuse.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set One - The match began the same way as most with a kill from Valeriya Kozlova. The defense stepped up with four and half blocks, the biggest on a triple block by Iglesias, Zujovic, and Theleus. Kozlova had three straight kills to end the set as Barry took a 1-0 match lead. It was the best offensive set with 16 kills and a .344 swing percentage. The Bucs had a 70-percent side out rate in the set. successfully scoring 14 of 20 times. | Barry 25, ERAU 20
- Set Two - McKayla Theleus got the scoring going in the second set with the first kill. Kozlova earned the 12tht point for Barry and from there out, the Bucs did not trail the rest of the set. Theleus led the sett with six kills and four digs. The Barry defense executed once again for another four more blocks. | Barry 25, ERAU 19
- Set Three - Barry fell behind early in the third set but worked to tie it up at nine-all. It was a back and forth battle until Varvara Osychenko served up an ace to make it 19-17 and force the Eagles final timeout. The match closed out with tw okills from Kozlova an ace from Thalia Iglesias, and the 14th block of the night by Kozlova and Frankie Good. A brick wall at the net had five and half in the set to force a -.034 hit percentage for the Eagles. | Barry 25, ERAU 21
NOTEWORTHY:
- Valeriya Kozlova had her seventh straight double-digit kill match, her fifth 20+ kill match.
- The freshmen had 10 kills in the first hitting .562 with just one error, and ended with nine in the final set. Seh also added three service aces, six digs, and five blocks.
- McKayla Theleus remains hot with her fourth straight double-digit kill match. She had 10 with two service aces, five digs, and three blocks.
- Gaia Riedmüller continues to hold the back line with 13 hard fought digs and receiving 34 of the 52 services.
- Thalia Iglesias predominantly held the setting role with 33 assists for a season-high. She was a dig short of a double-double at nine.
- Ivana Zujovic was dominate at the net, recording 11 blocks for the second most in a three-set match in program history, and tied for second most in SSC history.
- It is the most block assists in a single match in program history.
- This sets a new career-high for the junior, all coming via assists and no solos.
- Statistically, the Bucs led in every category, dominating in blocks 14-4 and service aces 8-4.

The Buccaneers will hit the road next week for both matches in Central Florida, starting with Florida Southern on Friday, October 17.
