"As we increased roster sizes and added new varsity and club teams, we knew maintaining our academic standards was going to be a challenge. But like true Bucs, we did not back down from the test and proved why we are champions on and off the courts, field, water, track, and so on. I am so proud of the effort of our student-athletes, coaches, and support staff during the fall semester, their commitment to both academic and athletic excellence is like no other. Thanks to our Data and Applications team lead by Grace Ralfelt, we were able to develop a system to track our athletes academic progress through the semester. With the help of our coaches, staff, and advisors, we earned a 3.44 term GPA for the 20 varsity programs, sending 63.5 percent of our athletes to the honor roll; 57 of those student-athletes with a perfect 4.0. A special thank you to our academic support staff, CASA, Glenn Hubert Learning Center, academic advisors, GA's, work-study, and tutors who made this all possible." - Associate Athletic Director/Academic Success Frank Gonzalez.
