RICHMOND, Va. – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America has released the 2024-25 Scholar All-American list for individuals and teams. Five Barry Buccaneer swimmers were recognized individually, while both teams were listed on the Spring Team Scholar All-America.

In order for an individual to qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, they must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship. As a team, the program is required to achieve a GPA of 3.00 or higher during the Spring semester.

On the individual side, all five athletes that qualified to compete at the national championship earned CSCAA First-Team Scholar All-Americans.

Diana Suprun led the charge for the women as the first, and only, female individual to be named. Suprun was the first female swimmer to be named to an All-SSC team as well as qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championship. The senior was named a two-time Second-Team All-America after a 13th place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke and 16th place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke.

For the men, Balazs Ament, Jacopo Lanzo, Milosz Mencel, and Roland Nagy were all named on the list. All four made history at the national championship being the first relay team to qualify as well as earn All-America recognition finishing 11th overall. The team hit the qualifying mark at the Sunshine State Conference championship where they finished second, falling to the eventual national champion in the event Tampa. Nagy highlights the list as a three-time All-American this year earning First-Team recognition in the 200-yard backstroke and Second-Team in the 100-yard backstroke and 800-yard freestyle relay.

As a program, the women's team had a 3.41 GPA while the men's team accumulated a 3.21 GPA for the Spring term, completely surpassing the qualification. This is the second year in a row both teams qualify for the recognition in the spring. Nagy is the first repeat recipient on the individual side.
