Softball Upended At Nova Southeastern

DAVIE, FLA. - Cassandra Lee and Alexis Toledo both recorded two hits for the Barry University softball team on Friday evening, with Caroline Figueroa sending two Bucs home off a home run in a 7-3 setback at Nova Southeastern.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
  • T3| Figueroa got Barry on the scoreboard via a two-run homer, scoring herself and Lee.
  • B3| Nova capitalized on a Barry error to score a pair of runs and even the score.
  • B4| Leading off the frame with a double, the host scored five runs in the fourth to take a 7-2 advantage.
  • T7| Reaching base on a one-out single, Lee rounded the bases off a two-out single from Toledo to create the final score.
NOTEWORTHY 
  • It is the third-straight opponent Figueroa has hit a home run off, belting two against Florida Tech and one against Tampa.
  • Lee scored two runs while going 2-3 with a walk.
  • Toledo went 2-2 with one RBI and one walk.
  • Maci Barnhart got the start, allowing seven runs with four earned off six hits while striking out two batters in 3.0 innings.
