Softball Extends Win Streak To Five With Pair Of One-Run Triumphs

VIERA, FLA. - Brooklyn Rushton and Alexis Toledo each recorded three hits over the Barry University softball team's doubleheader on Friday while Alexis Martin and Samantha Rosenberger both threw complete games in the circle to power the Bucs to a doubleheader sweep over Walsh and Cedarville by scores of 4-3 and 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1)
  • T4| Keeping the frame alive via a two-out walk, Barry took advantage of a pair of Walsh errors to score two runs.
  • B7| Walsh got on the scoreboard off a one-out double before a base hit with two outs evened the score.
  • T8| Loading the bases with one out, Barry broke the tie off a walk for Taylor Thompson before a Rushton base hit plated Toledo.
  • B8| Walsh cut the deficit in half off a sacrifice fly

  • Toledo went 2-3 with one run scored.
