MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers lost 9-4 to the Rollins Tars at Feinbloom Field on Thursday night in the opening game of a Sunshine State Conference baseball series.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Edward Berry (2-3) held the Bucs to an unearned runs on six hits and three walks in six innings to get the win.
- Jacob Burr tossed the final three innings and got the save despite giving up the the three-run homer to Forchic.
- Anthony Bennetti (0-2) allowed five runs on three hits (all homers) in five-plus innings. He walked two and struck out two.
- Freddy Rodriguez and Wickeri each had three hits to lead the Bucs, while Kevin Noriega went 2-for-4.
- Herring and Farner each had two hits for Rollins, with Herring scoring three times and Farner driving in two runs.
