BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers split a Sunshine State Conference doubleheader with the Lynn Knights at the McCusker Sports Complex on Sunday. The Bucs won game one 4-2, but fell in the nightcap 7-6.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Murgo (4-0) got the win as the Bucs scored in the ninth. He worked three innings in relief of starter Frank II Gonzalez, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk.
- Gonalez had one of his best outings of the season, shutting out the Knights on one hit and five walks in five innings, while striking out four.
- Federico Zapata worked the ninth to secure his six save of the season and 15th of his career. He moves into fourth place on the all-time Buccaneer list, just one save behind Daniel Broeseker (2015-18).
- Joel Hayner, who got the save in game one of the series on Saturday, took the loss for the Knights, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk in 1.2 innings.
- Nathan Shane (2-3) went five innings in the finale to earn his second win. He allowed just one run on three hits and four walks.
- Angel Cespedes (3-2) took the loss. He worked four innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts.
- Rodriguez, Toms and Noriega each had four hits in the doubleheader. Rodriguez drove in three, Toms two and Noriega two.
- Julio Camarena and Fowler each had three hits for the Knights. Fowler and Otero each drove in a pair.

The Bucs host the Rollins Tars in a rematch of last year's Super Regional on Thursday and Friday at Feinbloom Field.
