Baseball Loses At Lynn

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers dropped the opener of their Sunshine State Conference baseball series to Lynn 9-4 at the McCusker Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Joe Morrisey (2-3) took the loss for the Bucs, giving up six runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks in four innings. 
  • Matt Tiberia (1-0) worked five innings, holding the Bucs to a run on two hits and striking out six.
  • Joel Hayner got the final out to post his second save.
  • Toms had two hits and two RBI to lead the Bucs. Noriega scored twice.
  • Paulino had two hits, including the grand slam and drove in four. Otero had three hits, including the solo homer and srove in three.
