HOW IT HAPPENED
- FGCU got on the board first by winning the doubles point. The eagles won at No. 1 and No.3 doubles.
- The Bucs then secured the next three points to go up 3-1, as Malakhova, Alloiarova and Leweurs all won in straight sets at No. 6, 3 and 5 singles.
- No. 2 and 4 singles were the only two matches to go to three sets and the Eagles were victorious in both. Ossa clinched the match for the Eagles at No. 4 singles.
NOTEWORTHY
- The Bucs lose their first match since the 2018-19 season, where they lost to Nova Southeastern in the SSC Tournament, snapping their winning streak at 91 matches.
