MIAMI SHORES, Fla - In what is becoming a new trend for the Barry University men's basketball team, the Bucs went into overtime for the third-consecutive home game on Saturday afternoon after rallying to knot the score with 28 seconds in regulation of an 82-73 overtime triumph.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 1H | Barry responded to a 7-2 start by Saint Leo with five-straight points to knot the score at 7-all, countering a Lions' basket with a triple to take a 10-9 advantage with 14:50 remaining in the half. Saint Leo tied the score off a free throw, with the two sides trading the ensuing eight points before a 9-2 stretch by Saint Leo made it 23-16 with 9:40 left in the half. Barry made it a one-possession game behind four-straight points, but were held without another run of consecutive points for the duration of the half and trailed 40-28 at the break,
- 2H | Barry started the second half with back-to-back triples, only for an 8-0 response by the visitors creating a 48-34 score with 15:56 left to play. The Bucs scored the ensuing five points to bring the separation back to nine at 48-39, countering a 3-0 SLU spurt with a 6-2 stretch to make it 53-45 with 9:42 left to play. The Bucs rallied to get within four at 61-57, scoring the final seven points of regulation after a Saint Leo triple to send the game to overtime at 64-64.
- OT | After trading the opening 12 points of the extra time, Barry connected on a triple to take a 73-70 advantage and led for the rest of the contest.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Nick Anderson scored 24 points with two assists.
- James Montgomery added 11 points, 18 rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
- Ga'Khari Lacount added 15 points.
- Gavin Welch scored 12 points off the bench with six boards.
- Barry converted on 25-70 shots, going 8-20 from distance and 24-26 from the free throw line.
- Saint Leo went 28-73 from the field, 8-29 from three-point territory and 9-16 from the free throw line.
- Barry committed five turnovers, resulting in five points for the visitors. Saint Leo committed 10 turnovers, leading to seven points for Barry.
- Saint Leo held a 48-44 advantage in rebounds.
- Barry recorded four steals with six block while Saint Leo tallied four steals and four blocks.
