HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bucs got on the board first winning the doubles point. The Cougars won at the top flight, but Barry prevailed at #2 and #3 in tiebreakers.
- Bastien Rieme quickly made it 2-0 Barry with a straight set win at #5.
- #23 Cardona put the Cougars on the board by coming back from a first set loss to win at #3.
- Lynch made it 3-1 with a straight set win at #2.
- Sandrone also won a three-set match at #6 to make it 3-2.
- Ferreira clinched the match for the Bucs at #1, coming back from a first set loss to win 6-0, 6-2.
NOTEWORTHY:
- The Bucs advance to the championship for the first time since 2022, when they beat to Columbus State 4-3 for the title.
- This is the Bucs fourth time playing in the ITA National Indoor Championships. They have advanced to the finals three times, winning one.
- Both David and Bastien Rieme remain undefeated on the year in singles.
