Women's Basketball Edged By Eckerd

Miami Shores, Fla - Kayla Lindsey established a new career-high with the Barry University women's basketball team on Wednesday evening with 18 rebounds while Lauren Livingston chipped in a season-best 15 points in the Bucs' 60-48 setback against visiting Eckerd.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • 1Q | Barry opened the contest with a triple and jumper, holding Eckerd without a run of consecutive baskets until a 5-0 rally made it 16-13 with 1:08 left in the first quarter. Barry ended the frame with a layup to hold an 18-13 lead.
  • 2Q | Eckerd started the second quarter using a 4-0 run to take a one-point lead, responding to a Barry basket with a three pointer to hold a 22-20 lead with 8:26 remaining in the quarter. Barry flipped the lead behind a 6-0 run, only for an 8-0 retort by the visitors creating a 30-26 score with 2:22 left to play. The Bucs' ended the half on a 6-0 run to head into halftime ahead 32-30.
