Women's Basketball Completes Season Sweep Of Panther At Home

MIAMI SHORES, Fla - The Barry Buccaneers women's basketball team completed a season-sweep of Florida Tech, beating them 81-76 at the Health & Sports Center on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • 1Q | Barry opened the opening frame fast, leading by as much as nine points. Both Lauren Livingston and Aijah Palmore totaled six points in the quarter to give the Bucs a 22-17 lead going into the second quarter.
  • 2Q | Barry extended their lead to 12 at 1:46 left in the quarter. Audrey Jennings scored nine points in the frame, including a three-pointer as the Bucs took an 11 point lead into halftime. 
  • 3Q | FIT took the lead 47-46 with 4:26 left in the third quarter. extending thier lead to four. The Bucs fought back and claimed a two point lead going into the last frame.
  • 4Q | The Bucs went down by as much as five with 7:13 left. The Bucs took back the lead with 4:28 remaining, and lever gave away the lead again to secure their victory. 
NOTEWORTHY:
  • Livingston scored ten points in the final frame to help the Bucs get the victory.
  • Four Bucs scored in double-digits, the list included Livingston (19), Chiara Fusari (10), Kayla Lindsey (11) and Jennings (24). 
  • Jennings (2), Fusari (2), Livingston (2) and McFerrin (1) scored all the three-pointers for the Bucs. 
  • Lindsey recorded a double-doubles, 11 points and 10 rebounds.

ON THE HORIZON:
Bucs will travel to Davie, Fla., to take on Nova Southeastern on Wednesday Feb. 21 at 5:30 p.m.
