Softball Splits Doubleheader With Nationally-Ranked East Stroudsburg

Miami Shores, Fla. - Samantha Rosenberger limited nationally-ranked East Stroudsburg to one run in 6.1 innings over two games on Monday afternoon, earning her first collegiate victory in the Barry University softball team's 6-3 victory before the Bucs fell in the second outing 5-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1)
  • B1| Leading off with a walk, Taylor Thompson scored the opening run of the day off a Cassandra Lee single.
  • T2| Getting on base via a one-out walk, Houser evened the score on a two-out single from Pritchard.
  • B2| Barry took advantage of a two-out error by the Warriors to keep the inning alive, allowing Thompson to score Brooklyn Rushton and Mac Stone-Folmar to give Barry a 3-1 lead.
  • T5| East Stroudsburg cut the deficit in half off a two-out single from Vicendese.
  • B5| Leading off the bottom of the fifth with a double, Caroline Figueroa sent Harper Bunn home with a single before a Maggie Boyd sacrifice fly sent Lee home to make it 5-2.
  • B6| A Thompson single and Bunn double back-to-back extended Barry's lead to 6-2.
