MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Men's Basketball team rode a wild second half to an 87-84 win over the Rollins Tars in Sunshine State Conference action from Cesar Odio Court on Saturday.

- 1H - The first half went back and forth, although the Bucs maintained a lead for most of the half. Adren Roberts hit a three-pointer with 18:39 left to put Barry up 5-4 and the Bucs stayed in front until an Emilis Butkus three-pointer with 4:57 until half. | Rollins 37, Barry 35
- 2H - After an exchange of baskets put the Tars up by one with 18-51 remaining, Barry went on a 28-10 run to take a 17-point lead on a slam dunk by Sami Elkamel with 11:09 to play. The Bucs match that 17-point lead on a layup by Jimel Lane at 8:54. But the Tars went on a 14-0 run of their own over the 2:40, cutting the lead to just three points, 70-67 on a pair of free throws from John Latimer. NOTEWORTHY:
- The win was the fourth in a row for the Bucs.
- Lane had a season-high 23 points, with 21 coming in the second half, to lead the Bucs.
- Malik Stanley added 21 points, shooting 5-of-11 from three-point range.
- Latimer led four Tars in double figures with 24 points, while Butkus added 20, Beau Frericks had 19 and Sergey Grishaev had 16.
- Akeem Crandon had 12 rebounds as Barry led 43-39 on the glass. Lane added 11 board for his first double-double.
- Barry's bench out-scored the Tars 22-5.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs will return to Sunshine State Conference action next Saturday, Dec. 14, taking on #1-ranked Nova Southeastern on the road.
