Men's Basketball Falls Against Chargers

Bucs cannot overcome first half deficit in GSC/SSC Crossover finale

MONTEVALLO, Ala. --  A double-digit first half deficit becomes too much too handle for Barry Men's Basketball against receiving votes, Alabama-Huntsville. Barry goes 0-2 in the GSC/SSC Crossover to open the season.

SUMMARY:

  • 1H - Barry had an early two-possession lead scoring four points on two Charger turnovers. UAH then went on a 7-0 run that gave them the advantage four minutes in. Jimel Lane tied things up at 15-all with a jumper two minutes later. This led to another 8-0 run from the Chargers that would be the eventual difference maker.   • 2H - UAH held the double-digit lead throughout the whole second half. Barry, however, did outscore the Chargers 10-1 in fast break points, 10-6 in bench points, and 6-5 points off turnovers in the second half. NOTEWORTHY:

  • Stanley led the way again with 19-points. 
  • Jimel Lane was second one the list with 15-points and leading the way on the boards with five rebounds.
  • 14 different Bucs saw time on the floor with nine recording a point.
  • Barry had a more efficient shooting effort in the second half from the field shooting six-percent more from the floor and three-percent from behind the arc.

ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs will return home and have their home opener at the Health & Sports Center, Wednesday, November 13 with tip set at 8:00 p.m. against Fort Lauderdale.
