MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Playing the final regular season game, the Barry Buccaneers played to a scoreless draw in Sunshine State Conference men's soccer action with #23 Florida Tech on Friday at Stotler Field.

- The game was tight all the way around. Florida Tech led 10-9 in shots and 6-4 on goal and Barry had a 5-3 edge in corners.
- Rafael Furlani made six saves to post his second shutout of the season.
- Iker Bastida had four saves and a shutout for the Panthers.
- With the tie and Eckerd's defeat of Saint Leo, Barry earns the #7 seed in the SSC and will face #2 seed Florida Tech in the quarterfinals. It will mark the third straight year that the Panthers and Bucs have faced off in the conference tournament.
- Barry closed the conference season 2-1-2 over the last half of the season, after starting 1-4-0.
ON THE HORIZON:
Barry returns to Melbourne to take on the Panthers on Monday, Nov. 11 at 4:30 pm in the SSC Tournament Quarterfinals. The two teams have met in the SSC Tournament four times. The first two meetings came in the quarterfinals, with Barry winning both match-ups. They defeated the Panthers 4-2 in 2003 and 3-0 in 2009 on their way to the tournament title. The Panthers won the 2022 title over the Buccaneers, 4-1, while Barry took the 2023 trophy following a 1-0 result.
