MELBOURNE, Fla. -- The seventh-seeded Barry Buccaneers stunned the #2 seed Florida Tech 2-0 in the quarterfinals of the Sunshine State Conference men's soccer tournament at Stotler Field on Monday night.

NOTEWORTHY:
- The Panthers held a sizable 23-8 edge in shots, including 7-6 on goal, and 11-4 in corners, but were unable to breach against the Buccaneer defense.
- Rafael Furlani was a big part of the reason why, as the senior made seven saves, including several in spectacular fashion in the second half with Barry clinging to the lead.
- For Furlani, it was his third shutout of the season, second in a row, both coming against Florida Tech.
- Iker Bastida made four saves for the Panthers, but conceded two goals to take the loss.
- It was the first win for a seven-seed over a two-seed in the history of the SSC Men's Soccer Tournament.
