DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Barry Men's Basketball took a road trip for their Sunshine State Conference opener taking on Embry-Riddle Saturday evening. In a tight back and forth battle, the Bucs fell just short in the final minutes of the contest.

SUMMARY:
- 1H - Jimel Lane had the first bucket of the contest 14 seconds in to give BU the first lead. Lane scored six of the Bucs first nine points giving them an early five point cushion. Barry held as much as a seven point lead through the first seven minutes before ERAU started to chip away. - 2H - The Bucs fell in an early hole allowing a 5-0 run to start the second half. After being down by as much as eight multiple times, Michael Bradley III made his presence known with back-to-back three pointers to knot it up at 66 all with 8:30 on the clock. A third straight three-point basket gave Barry their first lead since late in the first half. After a 72-72 stalemate, the visitors ran off on a 6-0 run that would ultimately be the biggest difference maker in the game down the stretch. | Embry-Riddle 85, Barry 78
NOTEWORTHY:
- Jimel Lane finished with a team high 17-points, his Buccaneer career-high. He shot 67-percent from the field with six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
- Gabe Hernandez was right behind with 15-points shooting 50-percent and dishing out five assists.
- Michael Bradley III led the bench with 12 of their 33 point, draining four threes.
- Barry led in points off turnovers 11-6 and bench points 33-23.

The Bucs will host two non-conference games next week starting with Bemidji State on Tuesday November 26 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday November 30 and 4:00 p.m.
