Men's Basketball Upended At Palm Beach Atlantic

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla - Nick Anderson paced the Barry University men's basketball team on Wednesday evening behind 19 points while OT Delancy pulled down eight rebounds against Palm Beach Atlantic in an 83-55 setback.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • 1H | Barry scored the opening basket of the night, holding onto the lead until a PBA triple pushed them ahead 7-6 with 16:24 remaining in the first half. The Bucs knotted the score at 9-all and flipped the advantage at 11-9, only for a 7-2 stretch by the host giving them a 19-13 lead with 9:23 left in the half. The Sailfish extended the separation to double-digits at 26-16, fending off a 5-0 Barry rally and holding the visitors without a run of consecutive baskets for the duration of the half to go into the break ahead 36-27.
  • 2H | PBA held Barry without a run of consecutive baskets until back-to-back baskets by the Bucs made it 59-46 with 11:12 left to play. Four Bucs scored over the final 10 minutes.
NOTEWORTHY:
  • Anderson added two assists which tied for a team best along with his 19 points.
  • Delancy chipped in nine points with his eight boards.
  • James Montgomery added eight points, seven rebounds and two assists.
  • Ga'Khari Lacount posted three steals.
  • Barry converted on 19-62 shots, going 5-24 from distance and 12-22 from the free throw line.
