MIAMI SHORES, Fla - The Barry Buccaneers humbled their arch-rivals, the Lynn Fighting Knights, 91-86 in overtime on Cesar Odio Court on Saturday in Sunshine State Conference men's basketball action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 1H | The Knights jumped out in front early as Jalen Gilmore and Tradavis Thompson led a 15-10 run in the first eight minutes of the game with six points each. Barry then rolled off a 6-0 run to pull ahead on a jumper by Gavin Welch with 10:24 left. After swapping the lead back and forth, the Knights went up by four, 31-27 on a layup by Thompson, but the Bucs closed the frame on a 9-2 run to hold the lead at halftime. | Barry 36, Lynn 33
- 2H | Barry mantained their lead and expanded it to double figures on a fastbreak layup by Gabe Hernandez with 11:08 to play. James Montgomery gave the Bucs their biggest lead, 13 points, with a free throw at 8:29. Lynn trailed by six, 79-73, after Montgomery hit a pair from the stripe with 2:27 to play. But the Knights rode an 8-0 run over the next two minutes to re-take the lead on a jumper by Thompson. Barry tied the game on a put-back by OT Delancy with less than four seconds left and G'Khari Lacount stole the inbounds pass and had a shot to win it at the buzzer, but it went long. | Barry 81, Lynn 81
- OT1| Nick Anderson and Montgomery hit back-to-back baskets in the overtime period to put Barry on top, but the Knights tied it back up with hoops from Nordin Kapic and Ricky Ballard. Lacount and Anderson hit big three-pointers to give the Bucs a six-point edge and their held off the charging Knights for the win. | Barry 91, Lynn 86
NOTEWORTHY:
- Anderson led four Bucs in double figures with 30 points, just two off his career high. He became the 11th player in school history to top 1,000 points with a three-pointer to open the second half.
- Montgomery chipped in a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards.
- Lacount added 13 and Welch had 11 points.
- Adren Roberts also had 12 rebounds, to help the Bucs hold a 47-44 edge on the glass.
- Thompson had 26 points to lead the Knights. Jamison Evans went 7-for-14 from three-point range to add 21.
- Gilmore chipped in 14 and Ben Gahlert had 12.
- Kapic, who came in to the contest averaging 19.0 per game to lead the Knights, was held to just seven.
- Barry had another great day at the free throw line, hitting 20-of-24 from the stripe, led by Montgomery's 8-of-9.
