WINTER PARK, FL. - Diana Akopova boasted 26 kills on a .370 hitting percentage on Saturday afternoon, adding three assisted blocks and two service aces in the Barry University volleyball team's 3-1 (26-24, 18-25, 25-22, 25-19) setback at Rollins College.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set 1 - After splitting the initial 46 points of a back-and-forth opening set that saw neither side hold a lead greater than two, Barry forced set point off an Akopova kill only for a 3-0 Rollins run ending the frame.
- Set 2 - Barry responded to a Rollins point that started the second set with a 5-0 run and held the lead for the rest of the stanza, extending the separation to as many as eight at 20-12.
- Set 3 - Barry broke open a 10-10 third set behind a 4-0 run, only for an 9-1 stretch by Rollins creating an 18-15 score. The Bucs used back-to-back points to get within one, doing so again at 22-21 before back-to-back points for the Tars forced set point.
- Set 4 - Rollins used an early 5-0 run to take a 7-3 lead, and held Barry without a run of three or more for the entire set to close the match.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Akopova's kills and service aces totals was both game-high
- Varvara Osychenko chipped 19 kills with 10 digs for a double-double and two assisted blocks.
- Fiona Baker boasted a personal-best 49 assists with 10 digs, one solo block and four assisted blocks
- Jeyhlen Thomas assisted on four blocks.
- Ivana Zujovic added four assisted blocks.
- Rollins only recorded one more kill than Barry (56-55).
- Barry held a 58-50 advantage in digs and 10-9 edge in blocks.
