BRADENTON, Fla. -- The No. 1 seeded Barry Buccaneer women's tennis team defeated the No.2 seeded and nationally ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks to win the SSC Tournament Title on Saturday at the IMG Academy Tennis Courts.
The Buccaneers now hold 14 league tournament championships, which leads the SSC. They have won 10 out of the last 12 tournament titles. With the win, the Bucs earned an automatic qualification to the NCAA Division II Championships and will look to win their sixth-straight National Championship.
Daniela Farfan's win at singles #3 puts her career record to 54-1, which now ties her for first with Julie Razafindranaly (2018-2021), for the best singles winning percentage (.982) in Barry women's tennis history.
The championship marks the 104th SSC Title in Barry history.
