MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry baseball held off the Florida Tech Panthers 12-9 on Friday night at Feinbloom Field to open their Sunshine State Conference series.

  • T3: Gavin McGowan got a double to lead off the third inning, the first hit of the night for the Panthers. He came around on a pair of fly outs. | Barry 1, Florida Tech 1
  • B3: After an infield single to Wickeri and a walk to Braden Forchic, Joe Stella smashed a three-run homer to left. | Barry 4, Florida Tech 1
  • T4: Cole Patrick answered for the Panthers with a two-run homer. | Barry 4, Florida Tech 3
  • B4: Savi Delgado tripled high off the batter's eye in center and scored when the relay throw skipped into the Buccaneer dugout. Wickeri followed with a base hit and Forchic singled to right. NOTEWORTHY:

  • Mike Reagan (8-0) improve to a league-best eight wins. The senior lefty went six innings, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks, while striking out five.
  • Harding took the loss for the Panthers after giving up eight runs on 11 hits and three walks in four innings.
  • Wickeri went 4-for-6 with an RBI double and four runs scored.
  • Stella was 2-for-3 with two walks, a homer, three runs and three RBI.
  • Forchic also scored three runs, while Noriega drove in two on three hits. Nitch delivered three hits as well.
  • McGowan led FT with three hits.

ON THE HORIZON:

The Bucs and Panthers finish the SSC series on Saturday with a double header.
