SAINT LEO, Fla. -- The Barry University softball team dropped a 2-1 decision to Saint Leo University at University Stadium in Sunshine State Conference (SSC) action on Friday evening. The Buccaneers managed just one hit against Lions' starter Kayla Betts (W, 5-0) while Maci Barnhart (L, 4-2) held the hosts to just four hits in five innings.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Maci Barnhart (L, 4-2) started and gave up her first runs since a 13-inning marathon against Colorado School of Mines on Feb. 11.
- Harper Bunn reached base in both plate appearances with a pair of walks.
- Mac Stone-Folmar singled to second base in the first inning for the only Buccaneer base hit.
- Haelee Angelico pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the 6th with a line out, a fly out, and a strikeout.
- Kayla Betts (W, 5-0) finished her complete-game victory with a pair of strikeouts; seven Ks in the game.
