MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers split a Sunshine State Conference baseball doubleheader with the Embry-Riddle Eagles on Saturday at Feinbloom Field, dropping the series two games to one.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Angel Cespedes (2-0) worked six strong strong innings, allowing just one unearned run on six hits and two walks while striking out five in the nightcap.
- Derek Cabrera came on in the eighth with the go-ahead run on base and no outs and worked out of the jam, then closed it out in the ninth for his first save. In two scoreless innings, he allowed two walks and struck out three.
- Dylan Moran (1-1) took the loss for the Eagles in game two. He gave up three runs on seven hits in 7.0 innings and struck out three.
- Trevor Baker (0-1) took the loss in game one. He worked five innings in relief allowing three runs on seven hits and struck out six.
- Connor Dunnam (1-2) worked 7.2 innings, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks. He struck out seven.
- Gunner Harrison got the final two outs on a double play to record his first save.
