James Montgomery scoring his 1,000th career point on Sunday evening, the Barry University men's basketball team outscored Findlay by 14 points in the second half to end play in the Century Retail Christmas Classic with an 84-69 triumph.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 1H | After splitting the opening 14 points of the game, Barry responded to a Findlay jumper with an 8-0 run to take a 15-9 lead with 13:33 remaining in the first half. Findlay rallied to knot the score at 24-all, using a 7-0 spree following a Barry triple to take a 31-27 with 5:36 left in the first half. Barry reclaimed the lead off six-straight points, and went into halftime leading 39-38 after Findlay scored three points from the free throw line over the final 20 seconds.
- 2H | Following a Findlay basket to begin the second half, Barry used a jumper and three pointer back-to-back to quickly take the lead back at 44-40 with 19:04 remaining in the contest. Barry responded to an Oilers' rally that pushed them ahead 56-54 with a 5-0 run, extending their lead to double digits at 70-60 with 8:15 left to play. The Buccaneers held Findlay without consecutive points for the duration of the contest.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Anderson scored a team-best 26 points. His second three pointer was his 187th at Barry, the fifth-most in program history.
- Montgomery boasted a double-double behind 25 points and 18 rebounds. His 16th point of the night was his 1,000th, coming to Barry with 372 points at Molloy.
- Malik Stanley scored 15 points with five assists.
- Barry converted on 27-68 shots, going 7-19 from distance and 23-30 from the free throw line.
- Findlay went 28-65 from the field, 6-25 from three-point territory and 7-12 from the free throw line.
- Barry committed nine turnovers, resulting in 11 points for the Oilers. Findlay committed nine turnovers, leading to 14Â points for Barry.
- Barry held a 51-34 advantage in rebounds.
- Barry recorded seven steals with five blocks while Findlay had five steals and five blocks.
