Miami Shores, Fla.- Wrapping up their season-opening three-game homestand on Monday evening, the Barry University men's basketball team's veteran trio of
Nick Anderson,
James Montgomery and
Malik Stanley combined for 60 points to propel the Buccaneers to a 94-70 victory over Florida National.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 1H | Trailing early 3-2, the Bucs used a 6-0 run to take an 8-3 lead with 17:33 left in the first half. FNU responded with a jumper, keeping it a two-possession game at 13-9 and 15-11 before a 17-0 Barry run created a 32-11 score with 10:27 remaining in the opening half. Florida National scored the final five points of the half, tied for their longest run of the opening 20 minutes, to make it 55-34 at the break.
- 2H | The Bucs limited Florida National without a string of consecutive baskets for the opening five and a half minutes of the second half, creating a 30-point separation during the span at 72-42. Barry created a game-high 31-point lead at 77-46 with 12:15 left to play, and kept the lead over 20 for the rest of the contest.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Montgomery scored a game-high 21 points on 8-10 shooting, pulling down a team-leading eight rebounds while dishing out four assists and adding two blocks.
- Anderson added 20 points on 6-11 shooting and 5-8 from beyond the arc.
- Stanley chipped in 19 points on 4-6 shooting with four assists and three steals.
- Barry shot 31-75 from the field, 10-30 from distance and 22-26 from the charity stripe.
- Barry held a 45-42 advantage in rebounds.
- The Bucs boasted 10 steals and six blocks while only committing 10 turnovers.
