DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - In their last road contest of the season, Barry volleyball fell to the Embry-Riddle Eagles in four sets (17-25, 25-19, 11-25, 23-25) at the ICI Center on Saturday afternoon. 

INSIDE THE MATCHUPS:

Final: Embry-Riddle 3, Barry 1
Records: Barry (9-17, 3-14 SSC), Embry-Riddle (21-7, 12-5 SSC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Set 1 -Knotted at 16-16, the Eagles racked up four straight points to take a four point advantage and not look back, taking the first set. 
• Set 2 - The Bucs were up one on the Eagles (9-8), before the Bucs rolled off five-straight and maintained the lead until the end of the frame. 
• Set 3 - The Eagles jumped out to a hot start in the third, going up 15-6. The Bucs were never able to recover and the Eagles rolled in the set. 
• Set 4 - Tightly contested at 10-10, the Eagles used a 4-0 run to build momentum and eventually secure the match against the Bucs. 

NOTEWORTHY:

• Diana Akopova and Vavara Osychenko both had 16 kills to lead all players and Mariana Bertrán chipped in ten kills. 
• Akopova, Fiona Baker and Ivana Zujovic all recorded an ace. 
• Baker dished out 46 assist. 
• Defensively, both Jeyhlen Thomas and Osychenko recorded three blocks. 

ON THE HORIZON:

The Buccaneers return home to the Health & Sports Center on Tueday, Nov. 14. to take on the Sailfish on Palm Beach Atlantic. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
