Men's Soccer Loses To Saints

Bucs give up three second-half goals

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers lost 3-2 to the Flagler Saints at Buccaneer Field on Wednesday night.

SUMMARY:

  • 34:13 - Cameron McDonald put the Bucs up in the first half. Gui Gragnano sent in a cross from the left side and found McDonald for a header inside the six-yard box. | Barry 1, Flagler 0
  • 43:04 - The Saints had a chance to tie the game in the 44th minute when Barry keeper Rafael Furlani was carded on a tackle in the box. Max Gottwald stepped up to take the penalty, but Furlani turned him away. | Barry 1, Flagler 0
  • 46:30 - Early in the second half, Juan Valiente made it 2-0 for the Bucs after a scrum in front of the Flagler goal. | Barry 2, Flagler 0

  • Ryan Rivas made four saves to earn the win.
  • The Saints were coached by former Buccaneer All-American Thomas Coombs.

The Bucs move back into conference play on Saturday, hosting the Saint Leo Lions.
