MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers dropped their first game of the season against conference foe, Lynn, The Bucs lost in straight sets (22-25) (20-25) (13-25).

SUMMARY:
	- 1st set | The Fighting Knights got off to a strong start, going up 3-0. The Bucs were able to recover off of a 3-0 run to go up 7-6. About midway through the set, the Bucs scored three in a row behind two kills from Diana Akopova and a kill from Djuly Schmorantz, to go up 16-12. However, the Fighting Knights answered with a 3-0 run of their own, to make the score 16-15. The Bucs were up by two, 18-16, before the Fighting Knights scored five in a row to go up 21-18. The Bucs then answered on a 3-0 run to tie the set at 21-21, thanks to a kill from Mariana Bertrán and a block from Akopova and Jeyhlen Thomas. However, Lynn scored the last four out of five points to secure the tightly contested set. | Lynn 25, Barry 22
- 2nd set | At the beginning of the set, the score was tied 7-7. Lynn then scored nine in a row to go up 16-7. The Bucs were not able to recover and lost the set. The Fighting Knights hit .367 while the Bucs only hit .189. | Lynn 25, Barry 20
- 3rd set | The Bucs were up 5-4 in the beginning, before Lynn scored five in a row to take the momentum. With the score 9-6 in favor of Lynn, the Fighting Knights rolled off five more in a row, to go up 14-6. NOTEWORTHY:
	- Schmorantz led with nine kills on the night, Akopoava recorded seven and Marija Borcic totaled six. 
- Akopova and Thomas both recorded two blocks. 
- Luana Bulara recorded a team-high 11 digs.

The Bucs will look to bounce back at home when they face Florida Tech in the Health & Sports Center on Friday, Sept. 23. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
