COLUMBUS, Ga.-- The Barry Buccaneers defeated the Christian Brothers Buccaneers 1-0 in an NCAA South Region women's soccer match at the Walden Soccer Complex on Sunday morning.

• 25:33 - Ellen Cederin tallied the only goal of the contest in the 26th minute. Drew Dempsey got the ball out on the right wing and get around the back. She crossed it into Cederin near the penalty spot and her shot beat CBU keeper Chloe HIllyer to the top left corner. | Barry 1, CBU 0

NOTEWORTHY:

• Bucs keeper Emily Parrott only faced two shots, but stopped both for her first win and shutout as a Buccaneer. 
• Hillyer made nine saves to keep it close, but ended with the loss.  
• Barry out-shot CBU 14-2, including 10-2 on goal, and had four corners to one for CBU.
