MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The top-seeded and ranked Barry Buccaneers punched their ticket to the National Finals for the 24th time, fifth straight, with a 4-0 win over fourth-seed West Alabama in the South Region women's tennis final at the Buccaneer Tennis Center on Saturday.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Engelmann and Scholsen made short work of Deewajee and Sanz at No. 2 doubles, winning 6-1.
- The third-ranked pair of Bosnjak and Khazan finished off #11 Franco and de la Garza 6-2 to clinch the doubles point for the Bucs at No. 1.
- The third flight went unfinished with the Bucs up 5-4.
- In singles, the Bucs won four of six first sets, putting the Tigers on the defensive.
- Scholsen closed out Deewajee 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 for the first point.
- Farfan had it equally easy against Arevalo at No. 6, winning 6-1, 6-1.
- In a race to the end, Bosnjak edged out Engelmann as both players served for the match. Bosnjak defeated Ly 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 to clinch the match.
- Engelmann was ahead of de la Garza 6-4, 5-1 when the match ended.
- For Barry, it is their 16th South Regional Championship and they advance to the National Finals for the 24th time in program history.
- Barry has won four straight national championships, and six overall. The four straight have tied the D-II record set by Southern Illinois-Edwardsville from 1986-89.

The Bucs will travel to Altamonte Springs, Fla., for the NCAA Division II National Championships at Sanlando Park from May 17-21.
