MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers gritted out a 6-4 win over the Washburn Ichabods in baseball action on Saturday at Feinbloom Field.

- B1 - The Bucs jumped on top in the bottom of the first. Branden Abreu led off with a single through the right side and Ihosvany Castaneda doubled down the left field line. Joe Stella brought in Abreau with a fly ball and Keven Noriega followed with a double down the right field line to score Castaneda. | Barry 2, Washburn 0
- T2 - The Ichabods got one run back in the second. Zion Bowlin singles to left and later scored on a single by Kros Bay. | Barry 2, Washburn 1
- T3 - Washburn tied the game in the third. Connor Scott blasted a double to left. Parker Dunn, Bowlin and Tyler Clark-Chiapperelli drew walks to force him in. | Barry 2, Washburn 2
- B3 - Barry got the lead back in the bottom of the frame. Omar Baldo singled up the middle with one out. After Castaneda and Stella were hit by pitches, Noriega knocked in Baldo for the lead. | Barry 3, Washburn 2

- B7 - The Bucs took the lead for good in the bottom of the inning. Steven Torres led off with a massive home run to left center. Abreu and Baldo walked and after a couple of pitches got away from catcher Bay ended up at second and third. Another Stella sacrifice fly brought Abreu in. | Barry 5, Washburn 3
- B8 - The Bucs added an insurance run in the eighth. David Vazquez doubled off the wall in right center with one out and scored on a passed ball by Bay. | Barry 6, Washburn 3
- T9 - Scott tripled with one out and Bowlin came through with an RBI single. But Derek Cabrera came on in relief for the Bucs, retiring Clark-Chiapparelli and Brent Ingram with the tying run on base for his first save. | Barry 6, Washburn 4
NOTEWORTHY:
- Trevor Baker (1-0) worked 2.1 innings to get the win. He allowed two runs on six hits and a walk and struck out two.
- Cabrera retired both batter he faces for his first save.
- Charlie Keifer took the loss for the Ichabods. In 1.1 innings, he gave up two hits and two walks, allowing two runs.
- Abreu continued his hot start to the season, collecting two hits and scoring two runs.
- Noriega also had two hits and drove in a pair.
- Stella had two RBI as well.
- Cal Watkins and Scott each had three hits for the Ichabods.
