MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers ended their regular season on a high note, defeating the Saint Leo Lions 99-89 on senior night on Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Health & Sports Center.

SUMMARY:

• 1H - A Landon Kirkwood triple gave the Bucs a ten-point lead with eight minutes left in the half. The Lions didn't give in though, fighting their way back and with a Frank Webb Jr. three-pointer at the 4:05 mark cut the Bucs lead to three. After trading buckets the next few possessions, Toru Dean added two points at the charity with just over a minute left and the Bucs took a four-point lead into the locker rooms. | Bucs 47, Lions 43
• 2H - Barry went on a 21-6 run starting capped off by a Jake Kakar bucket from downtown with 13:21 mark that put them in the drivers seat the rest of the half. | Bucs 99, Lions 89

NOTEWORTHY:

• The Bucs had six players in double figures led by Justinas Marcinkevicius who scored 20 points on 9-11 shooting including a 2-2 mark from deep.
• Toru Dean had a fantastic all-around game for the Buccaneers logging 14 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
• Barry's bench outscored the Lions 38-8.
• Isaiah Washington had another solid game off the bench, going 2-2 from deep in just ten minutes of action.

The Bucs will now advance to the Sunshine State Conference tournament.
