MELBOURNE, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers men's basketball team suffered a heartbreaking 70-67 loss to the Florida Tech Panthers on Wednesday, Feb. 16.

SUMMARY:
- 1H - Florida Tech amassed their largest lead of the game when they held a seven-point advantage with 41 seconds to play in the first half. A Toru Dean floater with 11 seconds left shaved the lead to five. | Tech 45, Bucs 40
- 2H - The Bucs came out of the locker rooms with a vengeance, ripping off a 14-4 run over the first six minutes of the half. The Panthers were able to hang around though and a pair of free throws from Runako Ziegler with 3:37 left shaved the Bucs lead to just two points. A strong bucket inside the paint on the next possession from Michael Schaefer made it a 67-63 lead for Barry. The Panthers struck right back with back-to-back threes from Sean Houpt to take a 69-67 lead. Barry wasn't able to score a point in the last 3:17 of regulation, sealing their fate. | Tech 70, Bucs 67
NOTEWORTHY:
- The trio of Schaefer(23), Jake Kakar(16), and Justinas Marcinkevicius(14) had all but 14 of the Bucs' points.
- Although the Bucs won the rebounding battle 43-33, Florida Tech committed just nine turnovers compared to 19 for the Bucs. Ironically, the Bucs scored nine points off those turnovers while the Panthers turned theirs into 19 points.
