MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers men's basketball have now suffered back-to-back conference losses after falling to the Embry-Riddle Eagles 82-72 on Saturday, Feb. 19., at the Health & Sports Center.

SUMMARY:
- 1H - Embry-Riddle set the tone early on, holding the Bucs to just three points in the game's first five and a half minutes and riding that momentum to 23-10 lead with 11:16 left to play. Barry responded with a 9-3 run of their own, capped off by a fastbreak layup by Malik Stanley. A pair of free-throws from Toru Dean with :35 left cut the Eagles lead to just four points. | Eagles 37, Bucs 33.
- 2H - After trading buckets on the first few possessions, the Bucs once again couldn't find the bottom of the bucket and Embry-Riddle took advantage, going on a 14-2 run from the 16:02 to the 11:50 mark. Toru Dean made some magic happen for the Bucs late, scoring on consecutive possessions with a quick-handed steal sandwiched between the buckets. He would follow that up with a fastbreak slash two possessions later and then hit one of the most difficult shots of the game, nailing a step-back jumper from the top of the key to cut the Eagles' lead to just three points. The Eagles Alessandro Jon hit a contested three-pointer on the ensuing possession which then prompted another Buccaneer counter-punch when Dean found Landon Kirkwood in the corner for a triple. Ultimately though, the Bucs ran out of steam and Embry-Riddle rode their sharpshooting offense to the victory.| Eagles 82, Bucs 72
NOTEWORTHY:
- The Bucs had their third worst game of the season from deep, finishing 8-35(22.9%) from downtown.
- Embry-Riddle's Elijah Jenkins and Romeo Crouch combined for 41 points.
