TAMPA, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers lost 70-53 to the 14th-ranked Tampa Spartans on Saturday in the Martinez Center in Sunshine State Conference women's basketball action.

• 1Q - The Bucs fell into a hole right from the opening tip, as the Spartans built a 10-5 lead after the first six minutes. Barry managed just nine points in the period. | Tampa 17, Barry 9

• Swindells was the only Buc in double-figures with 16 points. 
• Wright-Ponder and Aliyah Abney each hs 16 points to lead the Spartans.
• Tampa led 44-27 on the boards and out-scored the Bucs 34-10 in the paint.
