- B1 - Barry got on the board first. Kevin Noriega singled to right ith one out and advanced to second when DSU right fielder Kirkland Trahan over-ran the ball. Noriega went to third on a passed ball by Brett Cobb and Joe Stella singled to left to drive him in. | Barry 1, DSU 0
- T3 - Barry starter Anthony Bennetti (0-1) started off strong, striking out seven of the first 10 batters he faced. But with runners at second and third with two outs, Rodney Hibler came through with a base hit through the left side to give the Statesmen the lead. | DSU 2, Barry 1
- T4 - The wheels came off for the Bucs in the fourth inning as the Statesmen scored four runs on just two hits. With one run already across on an RBI single bu Jake Barlow, Bennetti hit Cobb to load the bases. NOTEWORTHY:
- Bennetti took the loss for the Bucs, making his first start of the season. He allowed six runs on four htis and a walk in 3.1 innings, while striking out eight.
- The Bucs' bullpen of Muniz, Julian Carasquilla, Edgar Rodriguez and Miguel Villafane combined to fan nine more in the final 5.2 innings.
- Landon Zizzman (1-0) worked six innings to earn the win. He allowed an unearned run on three hits and three walks and struck out four.
