MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry men's basketball team lost 86-79 to the Rollins Tars on Cesar Odio Court on Saturday in Sunshine State Conference action.

SUMMARY:
- 1H - The first half was another nip-and-tuck affair, with four ties and seven lead changes. Barry tied the game at 4-4 on a jumper by Nick Anderson, but Tars scored the next seven points to take an 11-4 lead on a three-pointer by Cody Potter with 16:16 left. Then it was the Bucs turn, as they cut the lead to one, 12-11, on a basket by Amari Haynes at 13:00. An Anderson triple at 7:02 gave Barry a 33-25 lead. The Tars respsned with a 9-0 to re-take the lead at 34-33 on a three-pointer by John Latimer just under five minutes. A pair of free throws by Cade Long with 0:20 seconds left, put Rollins up by four, but Malik Stanley hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to trim the lead to one, 42-41 at the break. - 2H - A back-and-forth first five minutes lef the game tied 52-52 after a three-pointer by Rollins' Cameron Corcoran at 14:29. There were three ties and three lead-changes over the next four minutes, with Rollins taking another lead at 58-56 on a layup by Matheus Silveira at 10:33. The next four minutes belonged to the Tars as they pushed the lead back to nine, 70-61, on a basket by Latimer with 6:24 left. Hutton Yenor put Rollins up 11, their biggest lead of the game, at 76=65 with 3:42 remaining. Barry cut the lead to three, 82-79, on a triple by Anderson with 0:31 seconds left, but the Tars hit 4-for-4 from the line and Barry was unable to score the rest of the way. | Rollins 86, Barry 79
NOTEWORTHY:
- Anderson led four Buccaneers in double figures with a career-high 29 points, hitting 8-of-15 from three-point range.
- Stanley had 12 points and three assists.
- Jaron Willams and Rusty Moorer each added 10 points.
- Tyler Hawkins had a season-high seven assists.
- Kyle Marion led four Tars in double-figures with 18 points. Silveira had 17, Latimer 16 and Yenor 14.
- Rollins out-shot the Bucs 55.8 percent to 39.7 percent and won the battle on the boards 35-31.
- Rollins out-scored Barry 40-22 in the paint and 21-18 off the bench.
