WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
"It was a great bounce back after a disappointing loss the other night against Nova [Southeastern]. It felt good to get this one on the road," head coach Butch Estes said. "Toru Dean was terrific and showed how important he is as a leader to us tonight. Nick Anderson continues to be sensational offensively. We got a lot of production off our bench, like we always do, which was very helpful. We need to just take it one game at a time, and keep on getting better every time we go out there."

SUMMARY:

  • 1H - The Bucs were locked in from the tip-off, ripping off a 10-2 run capped off by a fast-break layup from Jake Kakar. Saint Leo stormed back with an 11-3 run to knot the score up at 13. Nick Anderson checked in and scored six points in a quick flurry. The two sides would go on to trade buckets the rest of the half. | Saint Leo 44, Barry 43
  • 2H - The back-and-forth action picked right back up with five lead changes and five ties taking place in the first five minutes of the second half. The Bucs once again looked to Anderson to provide scoring and the sophomore delivered, nailing four threes in the final 15 minutes and leading the Bucs to a commanding 14-point victory over the Lions. | Barry 98, Saint Leo 84
