INSIDE THE MATCHUP
Final: Barry 89, Florida Tech 69
Records: #17 Barry (11-2, 6-2 SSC), Florida Tech (9-5, 3-6 SSC)
All-Time Series: Barry leads 46-27

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING:
"I thought they did a great job of dictating the tempo in the first half," said head coach Butch Estes, "We settled down in the second half, started moving a little bit better offensively, and picked up the pressure on defense and got the game more into the tempo we wanted. Our two teams are completely the opposite in terms of tempo. They want to slow it down and play in the 60s and we want to pick it up and play in the 80s or 90s. We scored 55 in the second half. We got some big performances tonight from Marcelo Perez and Landon Kirkwood."

SUMMARY:

  • 1H - Justinas Marcinkevicius kicked off the scoring efforts for the Bucs with an offensive rebound and an and-one on the Bucs first possession. Barry held the Panthers to a miserable 11% from downtown in the first half but lost the battle in the paint 14-22. | Barry 50, ERAU 34
  • 2H -  The second half was back-and-forth until Barry finished the game on 22-12 run in the last six minutes to finish off the Panthers. Nick Anderson was 3-5 from downtown in the second half while Barry shot 7-14 as a team in the period. The Bucs bench outscored Tech's 25-10 in the half. | Barry 96, Eagles 87

NOTEWORTHY:
